AOL is the biggest and most popular Internet service provider in the US with about 23 million subscribers and almost a quarter of the market share. They offer a variety of plans which include all types of internet access including unlimited dial up and high speed versions via cable and phone lines. AOL offers free virus protection and customer service, spam filters, pop up controls, instant messaging, spy ware protection and email and storage. You can also create and share digital photo albums. The company started in 1985 under the name Quantum Computer Services and changed its name to AOL in 1991.
