Web Development

Web development describes a process of planning, design and implementation of a resource, such as a website, that is made available on the Internet. Web development is generally centered on the setup of the environment that a user would interact with on a website with much of the focus placed on functionality. In some cases, a web developer will have a much more technical role in the setup of a website and may defer the "look and feel" decisions to a qualified web designer. Web developers will commonly interact with technologies ranging from basic HTML and XML to the more advanced areas such as Perl and C#.
