HTML

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the backbone of the World Wide Web. HTML is the standard publishing language of the web and is the foundation for many other new web development platforms such as XML. HTML is responsible for the rendering of on-page elements of a website such as plain text, graphics and hyperlinks. HTML is also commonly used to layout the columns and rows in which these elements are displayed on a screen. HTML also interacts with technologies such as CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript to allow for advanced design features and functionality.
