First, server space: a small business will require approximately 10-1000 MB of disk space. Traffic: look for unlimited traffic or low surcharges for traffic overages. Support: customer support should available 24 x 7, with low wait times. Domain: make sure to get your own domain name and not one that incorporates the web host's name. Finally, email: email addresses should use your domain name (aliases should also be available). As a last tip, the web hosting company's server should support various programming languages (ASP, SSL, etc.) so you can customize your website.
