Chat Servers

Chat servers allow people to send instant messages over the Internet via an instant messaging systems that allow users to send encrypted messages, hold private conversations and create and participate in private or public chat rooms. Users communicate with chat servers using web browsers and typing in their messages on the keyboard and then sending them. Users can also receive email copies of their messages or discussion group dialogue as well as saving them as text. They can also send and receive messages from email addresses and mobile phones. A single chat server can support thousands of simultaneous users and can also isolate them from outside communication.
