Web Traffic

Web traffic basically means the amount of traffic or hits that a website receives. Traffic is often broken down and analyzed to see how many people are visiting your site for the first time, how many are coming back to your site and how many pages they are going to on each visit. You can see exactly where your traffic is coming from as visitors may have been directed to your site by a search engine or via a link from another site or may have just typed your domain name in for interest's sake. Traffic is also analyzed to tell you the amount of daily, weekly and monthly hits and to alert you of any specific trends. There are various ways to improve traffic to websites including advertising, linking with other sites and submitting your site to a search engine.
