Domain name resellers buy up, store and resell domain names for a profit as they sell them at a higher cost than they buy them at. Most companies also sell digital certificates, email programs and other services dealing with web hosting. Any domain owner can transfer their name to a reseller and can also renew the name when it is about to expire. Most resellers work under an umbrella organization which they pay a fee to or buy the names from and then make a commission on sales. The more domain names a reseller buys, the cheaper they are, so if you search for a domain name and it is already taken you may be able to purchase it from a reseller.
